Event Preparation

The event have been complete last night in Kwun Tong. For the preparation, I used a projector to project the visual element into the screen. For the sound, I used the production speaker Yamaha HS5 Studio Monitor to deliver sound along with bass speaker DXS18. The controller is DDJ SR2. The desk was originally a production desk and was turned into a performance desk and covered by a long carpet. Computer was connected to projector with 10m HDMI cable. Also, I installed some neon light under the table to make the scene more psychedelic. Beer and snacks were bought to serve the audiences as well .The problem during the preparation is that the cable for the speaker is not suitable to connect to the controller. Therefore, I need to buy an extra pair of audio cable for the speaker with one side as the TS connector and the other side as the RCA connector. The second problem is the projector. The projector distances need to be adjusted to control the projection size to the canvas. My initial idea was to put the projector on the wall but is to far and also, need to be installed on the wall. Then, I bought a camera stand to support the projector in front of a couch. However, the disadvantage is that the audiences might trip over the camera stand which indeed happened during the performance.
